REMARKABLE BEHAVIOR

Building better relationships between pets and their people

Living with a pet who has serious behavior problems is scary, frustrating and sometimes embarrassing. Not knowing how to fix the problem adds tension and stress to our busy lives.

Has your dog bitten you or someone else? Are you afraid your dog will bite? Are you embarrassed by your pet's behavior? Has your dog made you fall while walking? Do you avoid going to the veterinarian? Is your cat not using the litterbox? Do your cats fight? Does your parrot bite when you open the cage door?

Does giving your pet away seem like the only solution? Let me help you.

AGGRESSION

Black Dog

Aggression is not just biting. If your dog is threatening you, other people or other animals he is demonstrating aggressive behaviors.

REACTIVITY

All dogs bark and react. However, reactivity is referring to overblown responses. Reactive dogs may bark at every sound, startle at plastic bags, "lose it" when the doorbell rings or "go ballistic" at delivery or garbage trucks.

FEAR

Fear and anxiety are problematic on their own and almost always contribute to aggression. Fearful dogs may avoid interactions, not eat, show aggression, look "submissive" or shut down.

RESOURCE GUARDING

Resource guarding is a normal behavior that can get out of hand. Dogs who are aggressive around perceived possessions or eat what they steal need help. A dog may guard food, toys, people, places or things.

COOPERATION IN CARE

Our pets do not speak "human". They are often telling us they are uncomfortable with what is happening. We often confuse that with disobedience or dominance. If your pet is afraid or aggressive at the vet, groomer or for routine husbandry this is for you.

FELINE BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS

The most common cat behavior problems are fighting with each other, not using the litterbox, scratching furniture and being aggressive toward their people.
